What is Multiple Sclerosis:
  • Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease of the central nervous system (CNS) which affects mostly young people between the ages of 15 and 45 years.
  • Autoimmune Disease
Multiple Sclerosis is believed to be an autoimmune disease
  • This means that the body’s immune system which normally fights infections and protects itself, instead of doing so, actually begins to attack part of the body. In a person with Multiple Sclerosis the immune system attacks the myelin and axons.
Common MS Symptoms*
  • Weakness in arm or legs
  • Loss of balance
  • Loss of vision
  • Numbness & Tingling
  • Pain
  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Heat sensitivity
  • Difficulty with memory
