What is Multiple Sclerosis:
- Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease of the central nervous system (CNS) which affects mostly young people between the ages of 15 and 45 years.
- Autoimmune Disease
Multiple Sclerosis is believed to be an autoimmune disease
- This means that the body’s immune system which normally fights infections and protects itself, instead of doing so, actually begins to attack part of the body. In a person with Multiple Sclerosis the immune system attacks the myelin and axons.

- Weakness in arm or legs
- Loss of balance
- Loss of vision
- Numbness & Tingling
- Pain
- Fatigue
- Depression
- Heat sensitivity
- Difficulty with memory
